NOT THE ONLY HAIR DRESSER!
Cooper had gone into my bathroom for the scissors, then into his bathroom, where he placed the trash directly under his head so he wouldn't get hair on the floor, and cut off his mohawk!
He just wanted his hair flat.
The gun he wanted me to draw was to shoot Brooke's (one of my dancers) boyfriend.
And, YES, we do have family pictures Sunday and his Preschool Christmas Program Monday!

Congrats
I would have liked to have seen Shayne and Daisy trying to put their kids to bed on Saturday night. Who had to drag themselves up the stairs? Hope the girls didn't expect to get an extra drink brought up to them that night.

SNOW?!!!
I know I lived in Logan for four years, and this should come as no suprise, but we woke up and looked out our window to see snow on the mountain tops!...in September!....before the deer hunt!...before the St. George marathon!...2 days or so after Fall begins!...before the leaves even finish changing color!. So we're excited to come down to St. George for the marathon.
(PS Phyllip has a habit of singing Christmas songs from the first time he sees snow until Christmas. It started a little early in Logan, but it looks like it's going to be a long Christmas season this year. The first thing he said when I woke up was "Merry Christmas".)
The picture is at a Utah game, they face USU this weekend...may be a good game. Go Aggies!

Christmas gifts...
I know it's a bit early, but just wondering who has who for Christmas this year. It's never to early to start thinking about that perfect gift for the Heaton family. I think we had scottsintexas last year? We all try to remember who had who last year, but when it comes down to it, Daisy figures it all out for us. Dais, can you help us out here?

Assistant To The Regional Envionmental Manager
So, Jaren received a promotion and he is now, you guessed it, "Assistant To The Regional Envionmental Manager!" Really, no joke. In fact his picture and title were posted in the Cirlce 4 Newsletter. I don't know what he does - I just like the title.
Cooper is definatly the child of Evil Knevil and Dennis the Menace. He starts asking to go outside at 7am and he is COVERED in scrapes. He got a huge one on his knee, which Jaren pushed on and re-opened over the weekend. Yesterday he told me his scratch is "rediculous!" He LOVES watching "So You Think You Can Dance" and his favorite song is "Girlfriend" by Avril Levine. But don't worry, he is OBSESSED with anything to do with hunting - to the point that even Jaren says, "I hope people don't think I taught him all that."
Porter, who calls himself "Frodo" is a mini Coop. In fact, when I'm in the shower, Cooper gets into Porter's crib and launches him from behind onto the rocking chair he's scooted to the crib to catch him. They both think it is hilarious. He will repeat most everything we ask him to say, but his favorite things to say are "I'm Happy!" in a high pitched voice (everytime he walks into the room) and he calls Coop "Bruddy."
I'm just cutting hair, teaching dance, selling jeans, being a mom to Bruddy and Frodo and wife to the Assistant to the Regional Envionmental Manager!

zucchini anyone???
So I went a little crazy when planting the zucchini in our garden this year...I think I planted 10-15 zucchini plants and every one of them are growing zucchini's - so far. Nothing like homemade zucchini bread right? You can come pick them yourself (or if you live in Houston, you only have to pay the shipping, what a deal, fresh zucchini from the garden for only $4.95). And I'm sure we'll have plenty of grapes to share too...they are yummy! Fresh grapes from the vine always remind me of Great Grandpa/Grandma Jones and eating them at their trailer. Eat up!

"A little something to brag about"
I know you think your father and mother are archaic when it comes to computers (because we are), but I know you will all be proud of me. My remote for the car hasn’t been working, so I went for a new battery. They said my battery was fine and I would need to get my remote reprogrammed with Toyota. So, I tried that and they said I needed a new remote and that it would be between $180 and $200 to get it. I told them I could open the door by hand for that much money. Anyway, I decided to try ebay. I found a new remote for $6 or $7 and ordered it and then did a google search for instructions to program it. Altogether, it cost me under $20 with shipping, etc. Today at noon I programmed my new remote and it works great! Can you believe it?
I tried to go on the family blog to share this great news, but it says my invite has run out. Are you trying to tell me something?

Girl and Boy dancing
Cooper and Porter came over to play today. They all started dancing...so cute.
Notice how different Kate and Cooper dance...it's definitely a girl/boy thing. Even Maggie was getting in on the action.

Happy Mother's Day Susan
- You can call each other fat and ugly but never make fun of another person's mudda (mother).
- Mother is spelled M-O-T-H-E-R
- You may never know when you need it so it is always good to carry a microphone; I want to say in your back pocket is a good place but it looks more like Mr T had it stashed in his pants near the small of his back for some reason.
- We should treat our mother's right.

Kate
Well, the doctor was still concerned about her oxygen levels and that her heart rate was staying quite high so he wanted to keep her over night. Well because the pediatric wing is actually in the other hospital they had to ambulance her over there. Fun for her....will not be fun for us $$$$. Susan came over (THANKS AGAIN!) to stay with her while I went home to swap places with Shayne (Maggie needed to be fed). Shayne stayed the whole night and morning, so I don't really know the details there...I just heard she hardly slept. I guess she was pretty wired from the excitement and medications?
So she is home now and will be getting breathing treatments for a week or two. I left out what was really wrong with her because we don't really know. Ahhh kids!
Stylin'
Some of you may remember the Scott Easter P-A-R-T-A-Y. Well, Dad got a few good shots and this one I couldn't resist posting...the glasses are courtesy of Shayne who bought them for Mom to relive her Yuba days. McCall saw them and fell in love. I think if I recall correctly, Shayne would only give them to her if she would really wear them...so how many times HAVE you worn them McCall?

Lake Powell Fishing
It was Cooper's first time in a boat and the first "real" fishing trip he had been on. We were catching a lot of fish and some of them were pretty big, so He got tired realing them in. He asked Papa and I to real them in and he got on the back of the boat with the net and netted them when they got close.

March Madness, Susan, and Brent
Brenton, could you do a post in this blog explaining what the deal is with your work and grants and what you are trying to do and what you are hoping happens and all the crap. Nobody really knows what is going on, no one can give me a straight answer. Let us know what is up, give every detail.
Fish Out of Water
We took Henry swimming this weekend, and he loved it! We had to pry him out of the water after his skin was red and wrinkled. Of course the water was bath temperature and he loves his bath. It was the best watching him experience it for his first time ...trying to figure out how to move and where the bubbles were coming from (the ones coming out of the heaters on the side of course). You all are more experienced than we are, but it is so fun watching your kid experience things for the first time. And Henry isn't even walking!
What did everyone else do for conference weekend? I heard Cooper got to go fishing with his Dad and Papa...how did it go???

Hurricane 1/2 Marathon
So...who's in? It is on Cinco de Mayo (a great way to celebrate). May 5th. It's a race for all runners...a 5k for beginners and a 1/2 marathon for more beginners. I did it once and it is a pretty good course, lots of downhill. Also, I heard that they now allow you to do the St. George marathon if you do 3 out of 5 other St. George races and this one is one of them. So it will likely fill up quick (Painters run met their cap of some 1600 or so and turned people away!). So don't delay registration (I'll try to practice what I preach). Plus you still have 6 weeks to train...ooodles of time! You can register here .
