Pine Valley
We got Jarens itinerary today, so here is our plan for Pine Valley: We will be there Sunday, Sunday night and Monday. We will probably stay for dinner Monday before coming back to Cedar. Will someone let us know what we owe for Sunday night as well as what the plan for food is? I would be happy to do the food on Monday if we all want to take a day and be in charge of all the meals that day, I think there are 4 days? and with 4 families that might be easy and if Lee & Susan want to do one meal a day and work out what meal it is with each family? I think if would be fun to have new recipes from each family and not just pancakes, sandwiches and the old standards every day!Just some suggestions, but I'll do whatever!

I will let you know more on meals later. We really only have Sunday night and Monday night. I don't think anyone is staying over Tuesday night, but we will have to verify that.
I thought we might want to do dutch oven on Monday night, but we work all the details out. As far as the charge, I think it is $125 night (if 5 of us stay that would be $25 per night) So, Sunday will probably be $25 for you and then we'll get back to you on the food.
Shayne, do you need our money ahead of time or is it billed to your credit card and we need to pay you? Let us know on that issue. Ok?
Can't wait - it will be very fun to have us all together. I will get organized and let you know what you need to bring.

McCall and I talked after this blog and there will be six meals. So if we each take a meal and then all share maybe a dutch oven meal on Monday night, we will be just right. Is that ok for everyone? Dad and I can do whichever one you want us to and I will do the shopping for the Monday night meal and you can all chip in. So, here are the meals we need:
Sunday night
Monday Breakfast
Monday Lunch
Monday dinner - everyone
Tuesday breakfast
Tuesday lunch.
Just speak up for what you want to do and we will be set. I will let everyone know regarding bedding and things after I review the information for the cabin.

so that leaves tuesday lunch for the scottsintexas. sweet. glad everyone will be there. can't wait to get up to the mountains. don't forget the horseshoes.

Brenton, I hope you aren't disappointed in the mountains. It is so dry, it doesn't feel like the mountains, but maybe we'll get some rain before or during our visit.
sorry, i didn't realize sunday dinner was available. we can take that if you would rather.
as for dry... i wouldn't want it any other way. just to go outside without sweating would be awesome.
No - we are good with Sunday night - that is kinda what I was planning anyway.
After reading the information on the cabin, I find that there are 6 bedrooms - I can't tell how big, but there is a queen bed in each of them. That will give us an extra room for kids maybe. Each bedroom has 2 pillows and one blanket and one quilt. So you will each need to plan accordingly for the kids. (sleeping bags, pillows,blankets)If you want to go online to new.dixie.edu and then look under faculty/staff and find the Pine Valley Cabin and you can see some pictures, etc.
